Description
AB Yachts was founded in 1992 with the goal of creating a benchmark product in the pleasure yacht manufacturing industry. AB Yachts was the first shipyard to install water-jet engines on high-performance small craft and to use structural adhesives. The feasibility of using these adhesives was specifically researched in collaboration with leading composite materials companies.
During the planning process, software with pre-built elements was used to optimize the sizing of stable structures.
In 2001, AB Yachts joined the Fipa Group, which by that time already owned the Maiora brand, and together they marked important milestones in global shipbuilding.
